OPI, Pepe’s Purple Passion.
Ugh, it looked so good in the bottle.
If you too are tempted, just put it down.
Good. Now walk away and don’t look back.

this is the boldest/reddest red I have.
I don’t wear it often, I really only bought it for halloween last year, but I love this polish. Perfect, candy-apple jelly.
Day 10: Gradient
So I hadn’t done this before, and though I realize my results aren’t perfect, I know what I have to fix and how to make it better. I’m already thinking of new colours and finishes! I really do love this and it was much easier than I thought it would be.
Step one: choose your colours.
Most gradient nails will have a lighter base with a darker tip. Find a colour sequence that you can follow from light to dark.

Claire’s, Mystical
Step two: start with your lighter colour
side note, I hadn’t worn this colour in ages and I just fell in love with it all over again.
step three: You will need a makeup sponge.
this is an area I could definitely improve on because I use brushes and not sponges for my makeup. So instead of running off to buy a makeup sponge or two, I just grabbed a fresh, kitchen sponge from under my kitchen sink. Aha definitely had an impact on my application.
step four: choose your second colour, and paint a small amount onto the sponge edge. Apply this colour, starting at the top and working your way down, leaving some of the original colour. Repeat this step, stopping higher and higher, until your final colour.
I used this video for reference.
step five: add a top coat!
et voila!
Just bought this one! It’s one of the less in-your-face polishes from OPI’s Burlesque collection. Hard to describe colour-wise, somewhere between a black/purple/brown base depending on the lighting, with red shimmer.
Swatching is seriously impossible!
